🚀 Getting Started

LunarAI is a private AI workspace that gives you access to multiple frontier models in one place.

Start a chat — Click + New Chat in the sidebar to open a fresh conversation.
Type your message — Enter your question or prompt in the text box at the bottom and press Enter to send.
Choose a model — Visit Models to see all available AI models and their strengths.
Set your default model — Go to Profile and pick a preferred model for all new chats.

Streaming responses — Answers appear word-by-word in real time so you can start reading immediately.
Regenerate — Not happy with a response? Click the ↺ regenerate button beneath it to get a new answer.
Edit a message — Double-click any of your sent messages to edit it and regenerate the response.
Pin a message — Click the pin icon on any message to save it at the top of the conversation for quick reference.
Web search — Toggle web search on in the toolbar to let the AI pull in live results for your query.
File & image uploads — Attach images or files to your message using the paperclip icon. Images are shown as thumbnails; click to expand.
Export conversation — Open the conversation menu (⋯) and choose Export to download as Markdown or PDF.
Rename a conversation — Click on the conversation title in the sidebar to rename it, or use Auto-title to let the AI suggest a name.
Delete a conversation — Hover over a conversation in the sidebar and click the trash icon, or use the conversation menu.

Projects let you group related conversations and give them a shared system prompt (custom instructions).

Create a project — Click + New Project in the sidebar.
Assign a conversation — Use the conversation's context menu to move it into a project.
Custom system prompt — Each project can have its own instructions that shape how the AI responds inside that project.
Color-code projects — Pick a color for each project to make them easy to spot in the sidebar.

Right-click (or long-press on mobile) a conversation in the sidebar and choose Pin to keep it at the top of your list.
Pinned conversations appear in a dedicated PINNED section above your recents and never scroll away.

Share with another LunarAI user — Open a conversation's menu and choose Share. A unique link is generated that any signed-in LunarAI user can join.
Collaborative chat — Shared conversations are live and collaborative. Both you and the person you share with can send messages and interact with the AI together in the same thread.
Manage shares — Return to the conversation menu to see active share links or revoke access at any time.
LunarAI accounts required — Sharing is only available between LunarAI users. The link cannot be opened by someone without an account.

Sidebar search — Use the search bar near the top of the sidebar to filter your conversations by name.
Message search — Click the magnifying glass icon inside a conversation to search within all messages.

Change password — Go to Profile → Change Password.
Passkeys (WebAuthn) — Register a fingerprint, Face ID, or hardware key under Profile → Passkeys for passwordless login.
Two-factor authentication — Enable an authenticator app under Profile → Two-Factor Auth for an extra layer of security.

Press Shift + Enter to add a new line without sending your message.
Use projects with a custom system prompt to create specialized assistants — a coding helper, a writing coach, etc.
Export important conversations as Markdown and keep them in your notes app for later reference.
Pin your most-used conversations so they're always one click away.
Visit Models to compare speed, capability, and cost before choosing a model for a task.
